After the first update we posted, we received many support messages. It's so nice to know that we're not alone. Thanks to everyone.
The picture becomes more apparent as days go by, and unfortunately, the situation is not cheering. As of the moment we share this post, the situation is as follows;
-The number of cities affected by the EQs: 10
(The affected area is almost equal to the surface area of England in the UK.)
-The number of deaths (by Feb 9 at 9:30 pm): 17.134
-The number of injured/rescued (by Feb 9 at 9:30 pm): 70.347
-The number of buildings damaged/demolished (by Feb 9 at 9:30 pm): 6.444
Our priority after the earthquakes was PLHIV and possible treatment interruptions they might have. We have done our best on the issue and still keep doing it. In addition, there is no problem with accessing the medication at the moment, as the social security agency in Türkiye has announced that they will re-supply medicines for those who cannot access their medication on a one-time basis with no questions asked (this information is valid for anyone with chronic diseases with the most recent medication report registered in the pharmacy system).
In most of the messages that have reached us, you have said that you all want to help. There are a lot of needs right now, including heating and housing. Humanitarian aid groups and NGOs in the region are working with their superhuman efforts. God bless them! For those who want to donate to the region, there are USD/EURO account numbers below.
These bank accounts belong to trustworthy NGOs now in the field to provide humanitarian aid and needing financial support for sustainable operations. Those friends of ours who want to donate to support us/our country may use these accounts. As we mentioned above, there is no medication-related problem. But if such a need occurs, we will inform you with another announcement.
